Thread OP

Hi,

I live in NW FL/South AL region. My front porch faces west and is shady all day until the brutal evening (summer) sun hits it for an hour+ before setting. I have English ivy in large pots with trellises on either side of my door, and it has been just beautiful for nearly a year now. Suddenly, it is wilting, turning brown and dying, and nothing I do seems to help. I would like to replace it with something that will live in this location. Can you suggest anything?

Thank you very much!

It's hard to kill Ivy. Is it possible that it's become root bound? Maybe a larger pot and water would solve the problem.
