NC has some days..heat and humidity....bleh

But mostly very tolerable
Winters not too long but we do have occasional snow with accumulation ( not every year )
An ice storm or two

A RARE white christmas

Summers not so bad

Too short spring most years and a BEAUTIFUL Autumn
My electric bill in the summer does get to. $200 - $235 in that area and I am home all day although I do not like to be real cold indoors.

We fill the propane at the beginning of the winter and once again..but cooking and water and heat are all propane. Both fills are parts of the tank as it never gets too low.

I'm just so grateful for A/C...when I was younger, I tolerated heat better. And if I had to dress like this in the summer...well, I'm afraid I'd end up like...what was the name of the woman who rode naked on horseback? No wonder she looks so down at the mouth...it was probably summertime!
NOTE: I looked it up...Lady Godiva was the one! I loved that story and always hoped it was really true and not just a myth!
I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. E. B.White

I have been out in the heat enough now that I am pretty much used to it.
I have been in the garden for a minimum of five straight hours for the last three days and on occasion would go into the non-a/c porch with the fan blowing on me to dry me off.
I turned the a/c off one night and just had the fan blowing directly on me; feelt good if the humidity, which has dropped, is not a problem.
It was cool today, in the seventies, now I am so used to the heat, I turned the heater on in my car driving back up here, so I could let the fan blow on me with the window open. It is down to the sixties.

I rode a horse once. With jeans and underdrawers
I dont think naked would be good.
Saddle sores would be unbelievable.

At this point even being covered in long hair would be too much clothing.
