When you submit something into the database (an image, a new plant, a proposal to edit the plant, a proposal to change the data fields, etc) the system will now notify you when the approval (or decline!) happens.

The notification appears on the homepage. It's a link that you click on to view all the details.

This should really help a lot with everyone knowing the status of what they have submitted!

Very cool, I just did a name edit and got that message! This is perfect for those waiting to add their images to the new entry.

I was wondering what this would look like and I just got my first system message that I received .05 acorn for thumbs up in the moderator catches. So now I know what it looks like. Great feature!

This is exactly why I wanted a non-tree-mail solution. Imagine if the system sent you a new tree mail with each notification? Ugh.

Oh, what a great idea! I was adding a proposal yesterday and got to thinking that I had already added it and wondered about a couple of comments too ... hoping they wouldn't appear twice. This new notification system will be great for folks like me who can't remember something 5 minutes after doing it!

... I guess I better go add a photo, comment, proposal or something to see how it works.

I got a batch of my pictures that I submitted approved a short while ago. It even tells you who approved the pictures. In this case mine were approved by Dave. Then on some of them it tells me I received one acorn. I like these notices, great feature! I love it

Where do you Look?? In case I have a picture approved.

You get a message that you have system messages which apprears on top of the section were you see the threads in your thread watcher and your forums you have subscribed to. You can't miss it when it appears.

I was here on ATP from just before the day of launch and I just am constantly amazed that it just gets better and better and better here. Always more new features. Dave is a wizard for sure

The new notice is very helpful. I have entered many Lilies and have yet to find them in the database so I can upload photos.
It seems there was a change there. I figure its pretty wild for the moderators to review everything comming in and the data is a bit behind.
I'll give Lily entries a few more days.
Ignore double entries.
