I have seen many cyprees trees in the area, (NC) and they are doing great. I have a line I am growing for privacy. Some plants branches have turned brown and died. One has just turned brown completely and died. We have had plenty rain in the past month and I water the trees when it has not rained for a week or so. They are in their 2nd year and seem to be doing good. There are some that are larger than others by a foot and spread out twice as big. Why are some branches turning brown and dying?

Welcome to NGA, @Dyingcypress2

What type of cypress trees do you have? There are a few things that cause cypress dieback.

This info is for the Leyland cypress
