I would like to enter a chat forum. Please advise on procedure for such.

You are in a chat right now. This one is used to answer questions (such as yours). Are there particular subjects you want to discuss? Scroll down and choose some, then dive right in. Everyone is very friendly around here so don't feel as though you are interrupting a conversation.

Or try the "Sandbox" forum, all the way down at the bottom of the list.

And if you click on the Home page, on the left side you can click on Forums and scroll through the various discussions regarding gardening, particular plants, regions and at the bottom, General covers several subjects.

There is a wildflower forum but it doesn't appear to be too active (Maybe you can change that ).

If you have wildflower questions, we can discuss them here. If you want some identified, you may be better off in the Plant ID forum.

True, the wildflower forum isn't too active just now, but there are still a lot of posts with the potential for good information. Certainly worth a browse. And as Daisy pointed out, you might be able to get things livened up a bit with some questions there.
