So... in a way the bee-pods feel like little presents at this moment, small reminders that life goes on, no matter what happens.. (Does that sound very mushy? )
Mayo
Mayo, that was beautiful! Not mushy at all. Just beautiful, and it gives me a whole new appreciation for bee pods. They really are gifts!

Mayo. I am glad the bee pods are giving you a little joy and interest at such a difficult time. I have tried to grow all the bee pods that have set just out of curiosity. It has given me some experience in growing from seeds. That will be useful if I ever have time to dab pollen.
But it can take up some time and space so I am now not sad that some didn't make it. Some of my still growing seedlings are Dips (which apparently do not self pollinate well) so I am curious to see if they are different from the pod parent. But I am hoping it will help me to become ruthless enough to discard plants if they have not performed after a few years or are rust buckets. I haven't discarded a daylily yet but am thinking a problem plant is taking up space that could be well used. But have to give them a few years of good conditions which I am almost achieving.
