I am considering building a greenhouse using some old windows I have around. Something like this...

Thumb of 2016-07-27/amberjewel/382c3d

It would be up against the side of my house. I am looking for a place where I can get seeds started early and over-winter any delicate plants I have in pots. For any of you that have, or have had, a greenhouse, do you have any tips, tricks, suggestions, hints, guidelines, pieces of sage wisdom to impart on a newbie? Are there things you wish you would have done differently?

I don't have a greenhouse here, I did have one in the UK. My biggest concern in this climate I'm in now would be the cost of heating in winter and that's why I don't have one. If you keep plants in it year round there will also be a need for cooling. I'm sure others with daylilies in greenhouses will chime in here but there's also a specific greenhouses forum on NGA that might be of interest too.
