Thank you Kevin.

Terri, do a search in the Sempervivum Forum, search box on the right upper side of page. Type in 'Pacific Rim' and see if we have a thread already started for it. If not start a thread with the subject line Sempervivum 'Pacific Rim'. This would be a great time to start research on this one. Hurray!

Well, it's been awhile since I posted that i'd post pics but here they are: Identical Rubikon planted in full sun and in a pot in bright shade. Both pics taken on 7/23/15:
Thumb of 2016-08-01/Patty/6fc427 Thumb of 2016-08-01/Patty/8b956c

Here is Roasted Chestnuts - I received all 3 from Youngs at the same time. Pics taken 5/26/16 and 7/11/16

A person could easily conclude some of these were NOID's

I agree. If you look at the database photo entries of sandnsea you can see more examples of how growing conditions can change the looks of a semp.

Good point, Patty. It would be easy for inexperienced collectors to make a noid call on those semps.
I was fortunate someone (with more experience than I) pointed out the inconsistencies with my plant. I think it was Greg that initially suggested I do some copious investiganion.
I feel very fortunate to be e-surrounded be so many experienced collectors, so willing to help! Thumbs up

Sorry, cross posted. I got dragged away just before hitting the finished button.
Our database is my first "go to" for...well, so many reasons. I always use it before ordering new plants. Semps or other. I'll find a member in the same or close to my zone, and most of the time our plants will look very similar. Thumbs up
As far as researching my noid, it was invaluable!
For example, when I started researching 'Pacific Rim', I found this image of the flower.

And, obviously no long stolons here, like on my plant.

And then, the EU site was the final conformation.

That is the actual member whos plants I look at first! Too bad I wasn't using this technique all along. Could've saved myself some aggravation.

Although Terri for the most recent incorrect ID it wouldn't have mattered because the plants look similar except for bloom color I tip my hat to you.

They do indeed look similar. What about that long stolon though?

And to make matters worse, there are some out there that would normally have short stolons that will produce long stolons under different growing conditions. Sad
