Wanted y'all to see the progress on the big Jerry bed. This photo was taken on May 3rd, the bed in it's infancy.

And the castor bean today! The bottom of the house is 13ft high, I'm taking the photo from the window.

The whole bed, the root beer plants closest to the house are behind the bed not in it.

The opposite side of the house, my bananas are 15 ft tall due to the longer season this year. No extra water.

Got this hibiscus in a trade this year, Peppermint Schnapps. Huge flower, not in the Big Jerry bed but next to it.

Umm. Well Missy as you can see by the mat of it above that it's very prolific. That being said I have no regrets about planting it. It does tunnel but it's easily pulled up. Supposedly it's a shade type plant but this patch of it is full sun.
So yes I recommend! It wasn't my intention but it hides our pump house that's under our home. Delightful fragrance when leaves are crushed.
If you can wait til spring I'll send some to get you started. Thumbs up

Hurray! Group hug Oh yeah!! I can wait. Thank you for the generous offer!!! Maybe I can find a little something-something that I can trade with you!! I was still considering the root beer...I like the way it looks and fragrance is always a plus. Just read that it was pretty aggressive, and that was giving me pause. But really, a lot of my plants are aggressive, some to the point of weediness.

It will be my pleasure to trade Missy, you'll just have to let me know which of your plants are available. Take a look at my list and we can make a bigger trade if you like.

Beautiful flower Ken. Lovey dubby

Thank you, Vicki. It looks like this single plant will reward me with lots of flowers. The second flower is now almost open.
