I live in Napa Ca and need a colorful or tree with flowers or just a good looking tree for the middle of my new front yard. It's only 20x30' lawn and I want to put a 5' diameter brick planter in the middle to hold a 6' tree. There is a huge japaneese maple tree 20' away with branches hanging over the yard. It will get morning sun and afternoon shade. We get up to 95 degrees and down to 30 in the winter nights. Does anyone know of a tree that won't get past 6' or maybe 8' at the most that would do good here?
