I knew what Crocosmia were from years ago. A landscaper told me about them but I'm not sure I ever saw them until I found these at Lowe's.
They were so tall and beautiful they caught my eye in an instant and while I was under its spell the pot jumped into my arms and wanted to go home with me.

When I'm at a nursery this happens a lot to me, except my friend and I just say it "jumped onto our cart".
Same things happen at Costco.

I just got a memo that the woman who owned a local garden store was hit by a truck and killed so they are liquidating the nursery and closing it for her.
80% off.
It's sad because I knew her but I think I should attend the sale. 😢

So sad. One of our nurseries closed because the lady had a heart attack and died. One guy retired. Another I recently found but has been around for over thirty years will close he said when he dies.
My friend also has a Subaru and a Mini Cooper.
