Really pretty! I haven't yet had any success with growing that one. Maybe it just doesn't tolerate heat very well.

Linda, it seems to tolerate my Ohio heat very well, but my "heat" and your "heat" are not one and the same. It has a very long taproot, so is very drought tolerant for me, too.

Mine tolerated the heat fine, but was an aphid magnet. The stems were always completely covered with aphids, and I've never had an aphid problem in my garden before.

Isn't that funny. I have 3 or 4 of the A. tuberosas and I've never seen an aphid on them. It's those milkweed bugs that drive me crazy. They arrive by the hundreds as soon as the plant starts to set seed. If I keep the pods deadheaded, they stay away.
