I like seeing it in scale with other plants. It really helps me envision how I could use it in my own garden. Thanks for submitting such a great collection of pictures!
Really pretty! I haven't yet had any success with growing that one. Maybe it just doesn't tolerate heat very well.
I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. E. B.White
Integrity can never be taken. It can only be given, and I wasn't going to give it up to these people. Gary Mowad
Linda, it seems to tolerate my Ohio heat very well, but my "heat" and your "heat" are not one and the same. It has a very long taproot, so is very drought tolerant for me, too.
Mine tolerated the heat fine, but was an aphid magnet. The stems were always completely covered with aphids, and I've never had an aphid problem in my garden before.
Isn't that funny. I have 3 or 4 of the A. tuberosas and I've never seen an aphid on them. It's those milkweed bugs that drive me crazy. They arrive by the hundreds as soon as the plant starts to set seed. If I keep the pods deadheaded, they stay away.
