Thread OP

Celebrating Gardening: 2015
So finally after the duds last year that were sent and no gold band and the year before no gold band either............this year Gold Band has finally bloomed. My last lily to bloom almost here....... The plants are nice but not tons of blooms, the flowers are nice but not tons of them but wander if they are a species and I want to keep some seeds....... Do I cross pollinate the flowers and put foil over the one and wait and see what happens.........
I heard that they do not have a long lifespan and wander if it worth the wait from seed or just buy some new plants later......

Again nice smell at night and hardly anything during the day...............

I can see where this is a very important lily for hybrids though..............gorgeous flower.....

If it is your last blooming lily, then you can just pollinate it without protection. If they are not clones they should set seed.
