Thread OP

Found in KY. White flowering in spring. Woody. Leaves are velvety... Stick to you when trimming. What is it and how far back can I trim it in the fall. It's about 4 feet tall right now.

Looks like one of the viburnums.
You can cut it pretty hard, but they usually aren't sheared.

Edit:
Most people wait until after they bloom before pruning... Cut back in autumn, lose the flowers....
