Was that Angelina? It is more a ground cover. What does Mr. Goodbud and Black Jack look like. Do you have pictures of those? If so I can go add an entry for those so you can add the photos. : )
Angelina is great in a pot or bowl which maybe could sit by the taller plants.

I was thinking of the Angelina in front and the Echinacea in the back with the dark sedums.

Black Jack is a dark-leafed variety.
Here's Black Jack

The Mr. Goodbud has beautiful pink blooms. I've never seen one with such great blooms.

Here's Mr. Goodbud

I'll post my own pictures if I can find them. I took too many pics last year.

Both are very pretty. Your idea with the Angelina looks great in my minds eye. : )
Can't wait to see a picture.
When I get back home later today I will add those Sedum varieties to the database, unless you would like to do that?

Thanks, Lynn. If I can't find pictures of them for you, I will take some this spring and summer. Would you like a cutting of my Mr. Goodbud plant when it starts growing?

Ok. I'll send it to you as soon as it perks up. It has the best blooms of any sedum I've seen.

I have never seen that one. Can't wait to get it planted. I have seed for Black Jack and Red Cauli. Think I will plant them when I get back home later today. : ) First time I've done Sedum from seed. Smiling

Mr. Goodbud is gorgeous! Haven't seen that one before. I've never tried sedum from seed either. Let us know how that works out.

The Sedums and Echinaceas are a great combo. Never would have thought of that one.

I wouldn't either Chris. But think about it, the Echies are draught tolerant and the sedum do well with average amounts of water. A match made in heaven. Thumbs up
Seeds will be planted today, I got home to late yesterday and ran out of steam.
If it works I will have plenty to share. Big Grin

I think if you add ornamental grasses, sedums, echinaceas, nepeta, russian sage, penstemons, goldenrod and a few red and/or yellow false yuccas you could have a really pretty flower bed. That's my goal anyways.

See, it is a good thing you are here Clint. I was so used to thinking only of the low growing Sedum. So when someone talked about companion plants all I thought of was tiny low growing plants. I was leaving out all the wonderful tall varieties of Sedum. So glad you brought this up. Now I need to add your above list of companion plants to my Companion Plants Database.
Thank you Clint for your very creative thinking, something I tend to lack. Sticking tongue out

I'd like to make a few containers this year. I'd like to do a few big leaf molds, too.
I did a good size container years ago. I used an empty beer case wrapped in a plastic bag as my mold, I know I put something in the box to help hold the weight and keep the form might have been cut pieces of Styrofoam. Mine also has chicken wire in it. I wrapped the box loosely with chicken wire and then pushed the mix through the wire so that the wire is buried inside the walls and bottom. I planted my Bougainvillea in it. Here is a pic of it. It's approx 19in length X 15in width X 12in height.

Thanks Lynn, Not quite what you think of when talking about a planted Hypertufa Pot. Big Grin
It does well in the pot and has been growing there for years.
