I absolutely love this one!

I do too.. The stripes are more prominent, if I recall correctly. I'm really smitten with this one.

This is most likely too new to have enough stock to introduce at this time. I just threw it up for illustrative purposes!

Tom thought this might have "Gypsy Lord" as a parent. It does not. Here is the write up for this seedling when they posted it in February 2015.

"An interesting seedling from last year that we're looking forward to seeing in about 6 weeks or so. 12-TB-26-01, parentage is Summer Shadow X Reckless Abandon. We love the bright yellow edge on the tightly swirled standards and the multiple colors on the fall edge. This picture is showing some slight
heat damage on the edge of the falls though. We showed this photo in a Reckless Abandon thread on Iris Lovers a week or so ago, but wanted to show it again here on our own page."

I am hoping this is one of the "Dirty Dozen" for 2017. I REALLY like it!!!!

Oh but it's related, Summer Shadow is by Bold Vision and a Gypsy Lord Sibling! Smiling

Got an email from R&R about the "Gypsy Lord" connection as it were. Here is a snippet...........................

"Gypsy Lord is NOT in the parentage, the parentage is Summer Shadow X Reckless Abandon. Now the pollen parent of Summer Shadow is a SIB to Gypsy Lord, so you’re not totally incorrect, there is some “Gypsy Lord relative blood” at the grandparent stage. "

Thumbs up Smiling I tip my hat to you. Hurray! nodding

I used Gypsy Lord a lot a couple years ago when making crosses, mostly because it was so fertile, and I noticed several of the seedlings that bloomed had a light edge on the standards. most of them were blue however.

Ok, apparently I hit a couple of "Home Runs" to use a Baseball metaphor. There are at least two correct guesses within the first 10 seedlings I posted! OMG!!!! Which ones could it be???Hmmmm.........

Here is the write up when these were posted on the "Tasco on Tasco" thread.

Quote:
"another quarterbred arilmedian that we're lining out next year to look at for potential 2015 introduction 10-AM-06-19. We like the clean white with the double color on the falls. Parentage is Energizer X Replicator, so again rebloom genes are in there, but no re-bloom yet. Most all of the aril median crosses I make involve my SDB re-bloomers."

10-TB-15-03

Quote:
"10-TB-15-03, lining out next year to look at for possible 2015 introduction. This cross was made looking for fall veining, I know purists don't like veins, but we do! Parentage is Smoky Shadows X Just Crazy. Branching is good and averages 7-8 buds while growth is very strong."

12-AM-05-07

Quote:
"An aril-median we're looking at for possible introduction next year (2016). 12-AM-05-07, OGB- (1/4-bred), parentage is New Vision X (Cat's Eye x Replicator), so it has rebloom genes in there, but no rebloom so far. We like the pure blue standards and the contrast between them and the dark signal and reddish plum wash on the creamy light chartreuse falls."

My visiting daughter liked AB- 'Free as the Wind.' in our garden this year. Too new to divide & since I ordered about 4 TBs for her garden (not an iris person, just wanted a few TBs) I e-mailed Roger & suggested F--W as her extra. In drier part of WA it should do well.

Aaaah, so 10-TB-15-03 has 'Just Crazy' as a parent! No wonder I like it - just planted that one! Big Grin
