I saw this huge tree over in SW Florida, just a couple of blocks from the ocean. Has anyone ever seen this before?

I wonder if it could be Giant Tree Aloe (Aloidendron barberae)

Hmmm, maybe, Lin. The leaves on the tree I saw weren't as fleshy as an aloe, but I wonder if it could be in the same family. Here are a few more pictures -

I don't think it had one single trunk- they all seemed to be separate

Wow, Dave, you're right! What I thought were trunks are actually prop roots - interesting! I only saw the one specimen, so I figured it wasn't native to the area, but it sounds like it's growing in a perfect environment. Thank you very much!
