Squirrels definitely an issue as far as planting goes. It is kind of funny though when they are sitting above you eating one and the stuff lands on your head. I swear when you look up at them they are laughing at you. Hilarious!

I have a hickory tree with a yard swing under it. I have had to put a patio umbrella over the swing because the squirrels would get a nut, run down the limb, aim and wham.... right on the noggin!
Thro' all the tumult and the strife I hear the music ringing; It finds an echo in my soul— How can I keep from singing?

"Tree rats".. What an accurate description. That's really good.

@pepper23 Amanda, I love your avatar photo, especially the red and white lilies. Are they orienpets or orientals? Do you know the name of the cultivar? Thanks.

Omigosh -- I've got those lilies too -- and I can't think of the name for them. They come in white/red and pink/red! Lovey dubby

The lilies are Red Dutch orienpets. The pinks are I THINK Robina orientals and the yarrow should be Summer Pastel Blend or something like that. I don't remember what the daylily is since I'm thinking I may have snuck a fan of that out of my grandma's garden but I'm not 100% sure. Hilarious!

Coneflowers have a name too but that's a total blank since it's been several years since I bought it. Hilarious! I also have Royal Sunset Asiatic lilies in that bed too along with Black Beauty tiger type and a Casa Blanca that is pretty crowded out in there so not really happy.
