Oh, I was worried for a moment. Thought it might be some mad ballerinas thrashing about and flailing broken iris stems in a fit of rage about not getting their choices. Blinking

There were only two in the morning and three in the afternoon. Just be kind to Gallic Softness and I will trade with you at some point. I was just whining. Smiling 😳

You need iris replacements far more than me anyway!

After they get there, I will put your name down as the first share.

As most of you know, these irises will come in a little dry since they've been out of the ground fro awhile. No worries, they are still healthy and will grow fine. What you might experience is the name was written on a dried up leaf and it's hard to read. Just soak that dried up leaf in water and you'll be able to read it again.

My oldest daughter has a house in Vancouver WA near some of the big growers. It's her first house, and after helping me with iris her whole life, she's excited to have her own and to hybridize her own. She and I studied the list of iris so carefully and each made lists.
Five minutes before the sale started, her computer locked up. She quickly borrowed another computer, but her cubits password and iris list were on the locked computer. With time ticking down, she had to set up a new identity with a new password. I quickly mailed her my list, and she was able to get in!
My youngest daughter was here helping me because my hands shake badly, and she's a cool headed whiz. We were all so excited to get in. I have a super slow, unreliable internet connection that crashes all the time so I don't know how I got so lucky this time.
After all that, my daughter decided to send the iris to her grandmother. She''ll make grandma super happy, and I hope my daughter can go next spring and buy from Schreiners and Aitkens. I told her to go this spring, but she is in med school and working so she really doesn't have a ton of free time.
She lurks on here a lot to learn about organic gardening and herbs, so if some of you saw what you thought was a brand new member buying, it wasn't.
Some of you may remember her from the National Iris Convention of 2015...she took off work and attended with me and almost missed the bus from Schreiners because she was so deep into a hybridizing conversation with Steve Schreiner. Group hug
Remember that children, marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get.

It is wonderful that you have family that shares your interest in plants! I could only dream. I am hoping as mine get older they will evolve. I did send a large box of iris to my daughter in Utah and they are in the ground. Woohoo!
