Indiana - zone 5 in the woods.

?? I have no clue what plant this leaf goes with... Hilarious! This is the only variation of it that I have.
When I snapped the shot I was thinking it might be a form of bloodroot, but I haven't found anything similar yet.



Since it's popping up in a circle like this I'm thinking it grows from a rhizome maybe?

Never seen it flowering though.

I've just been given the name of a local fella that's supposed to know a bit about (as near as possible) all of the local flora in our area. I hope to be able to chat with him soon and perhaps find out fairly precise bloom times for some of these that I've also never caught during their ofttimes very short flowering seasons. I'm pretty excited about it! Big Grin
