Is it normal to get little purple flowers on a pink Atlanta plant?

Is it possible for you to upload a photo of your plant? Aglaonema have a spadix type bloom so I'm not sure what you mean by little purple flowers. All Aglaonema blooms look like this:

I wonder if perhaps you plant is a Bromeliad, some have little purple blooms like this unidentified plant of mine:
