OK just wondering how folks are/will be doing. I'm here in the panhandle...about 30 miles north of Panama City (NOT beach) No real wind yet and hope it stays that way. It started to rain about 45 mins. ago...not hard and already has stopped...for now. No help so with luck stuff will be alright Shrug! Crossing Fingers! Filled the two outside water buckets for the dogs as well as a cooler. Heaven forbid they should drink bottled if I loose power...brats like their well water. Very happy to not live on St. George Island anymore since they are under madatory evacuation as of 5pm yesterday. Been there, done that several times. No fun with 3 Greyhounds in a ford ranger pick-up. Hope all ya'll will be safe as well as everyone else in her path Group hug Group hug Group hug

Looks like the worst of it has passed on to the northeast. We are feeling the tail of it now. Wind and rain off and on. Too dark to see outside to know what happened while I slept. The dogs have settled down now, so they may know best.

The tornado warning siren started blasting around 3:45 am. At 4 am a weather alert on my phone - tornadoes in my area. Sad

I have always been told that a tornado sounds like a train approaching...and I live about 2 blocks from 2 train tracks. Rolling on the floor laughing

Hope everyone is safe. Lovey dubby

A very noisy night! We're currently getting off and on rain, and very strong winds. Power went off very briefly during the night. (hoping I didn't just jinx it) Hilarious!
I think we really did dodge the bullet with this one, at least in Jacksonville!

greene...too funny! We had a tornado come through here some years back, and it really did sound like a train! Blinking

DH worked for the railroad for 42 years, and commented this morning that he had to walk tracks in weather worse than this! Hilarious!

Stay Safe!

Mostly rain maker here. Looks like we're in the last tail end, most wind we've had from it now. Yesterday hardly rained, we even sat outside for a bit before dinner, since a nice breeze and cooler. We had more rain the prior day.

Stay safe all.

Big fat nothing for me here...not even enough rain to wipe out my tire tracks in the driveway. Very thankful for no damage, but some rain (not a flood) would have been nice...guess I'll be dragging hoses tomorrow.

@greene...been watching the weather channel...I take it you have power? Be safe.

Since my last post the power has gone off 4 times and each time I lose the internet connection. If I can't post from home I will try to find a WiFi later this afternoon.

There are some trees down in the neighborhood but no damage to people or property that I have heard.

Everyone stay safe.

Update from Savannah - using the WiFi connection courtesy of my local BestBuy Geek Squad.

The storm doesn't look very bad but it is doing bad things. Trees down in several places, power outages, no internet, roads blocked due to trees/wires/wrecks.
I'm heading back to my house and hope to check in with y'all at suppertime.

Stay safe!

Oh by the time it gets here should only be rain and storm surge tides. We are on high ground here and I guess the garden can use rain.

No, you guys further south are the ones it will really impact.

Still no power at my daughter's house. It took me 25 minutes to find a WiFi signal. Spent the last 2 hours constructing 2 gates to keep the dogs separated and am taking my daughter's dog to my place for the night. At least we will all be together. DD is perfectly safe as she is in Atlanta today.

Hope everyone is safe. Group hug

Savannah has survived the storm. Lots of trees down, some crashing through houses; some falling on vehicles. Over 32,000 homes with no power. Most of the traffic lights were not working; stores closed early; no power means we cannot buy gasoline.

My daughter's mobile home park had no power and no water all night - it's a good thing I got her dog out of there yesterday. The power has been restored to some of the mobile homes but still no water. There is a crew working on the well now.

The dogs and I survived the night all together in my house. I kept my dogs separated from DDs dog and it was a quiet night. There was hardly any damage near the house as it is south of the storm path. There are some tree limbs down in the yard and lots of small debris it's not as bad as it could have been.

Rita, looks like the storm will not hit your area. Thumbs up
