Hi Guys

I have been growing these from seed since Feb!! There were lots of ups and downs (late cold snap, bad batch of shop bought compost), and these are the only survivors Unfortunately, in all the confusion, I seem to have mixed up what they are!! I tried growing a variety of seeds at the same time ... Can anyone help? I thought one might be a delphinium and the other a yarrow??

I'd say neither is Yarrow, but I'm thinking the 1st could look similar to Delphinium leaves.

No idea on the 2nd.

The first one might be a Yarrow. The second one looks like some kind of Brassica.

Could the first one be a daisy or mum, and the second be in the mallow/hollyhock family?

First one might be mugwort. It isn't yarrow or delphinium. The second looks familiar but I can't place it right now.

Thanks for your suggestions, and sorry for the delay in replying - I've been out of action due to an illness. Jeanie, you triggered a memory for me ... the first one could be a pyrethrum, I think I sowed some of those around the same time.

I wonder if the second one might be ox-eye daisy? I already have some in my garden, maybe these are self seeding interlopers! They look quite like what has grown back in that area after I cut them back after flowering ...

I was just about to say Barbarea vulgaris, yellow rocket, but wintercress is another name for the same plant. Here's a picture:

Thanks Janine and Sue, it does indeed seem to be Barbarea vulgaris that I have been so carefully tending these many months And now that I know what it is, I realise there are loads in local waste land that I've been noticing this year
