Organically-grown seed garlic for sale, including German White and Georgian Crystal strains. These well-established Porcelain varieties have 6 to 7 large bulbs per pound with big cloves. Will ship or deliver. Both strains are $12 per pound.

I may be out of line asking this. I would like to know. (Edited after I read want to know to would like to know).
What zone or area is this garlic grown in? I see many viewing this thread. It helps to know a little bit of information about the seller of items also. Have you sold anything else in the past as a company or private grower?
Is this seed garlic only for planting or is this also for edible use?

Ivy.

I've been growing garlic on a small scale (2,000 bulbs or about 285 pounds) for 5 years in western Pennsylvania. These strains are well suited for the northern climates, although they would do well in warmer regions also. I have sold the vast majority to farmers in the northeast. There's a garden center that buys my garlic and resells it to gardeners for planting. I also sell a small amount of the smaller bulbs to restaurants and individuals for culinary use.

That is good information to know. Wanted to make sure that if I bought garlic, I was not buying garlic that was sold from another country like Portugal, Thailand or China. Don't want anything that might be confiscated.

Thank you for responding.

Ivy, generally speaking, seed garlics will be the larger garlic bulbs with larger cloves. Planting larger cloves produce larger bulbs in the summer. These are fine for planting or culinary use, and they are hardneck garlics. Generally the Crystal will be larger bulbs, often twice the size of the German. The price per lb. is actually very well-priced, about half of what typical pricing will be. @wrorison grows a lot of garlic compared to me. He/she is closer to a "farmer" than a "hobbyist" grower. Thumbs up

@wrorison, do take a moment to go into your "Profile" and give your location. People often like to know where you are when considering purchasing.

Yes, I saw his/her post, but we don't want to have to constantly go back and read previous posts to find location, do we?
