Thread OP

Two mature calif pepper trees have been horribly trimmed. Every branch has been cut off. All that remains is a tall 20+ foot trunk with branches coming off it. No foliage remains. Are these two trees going to ever grow back foliage? Are they susceptible to disease now?

Although I do not have California Pepper trees it seems that your trees will be stressed and may be vulnerable to disease. Sorry.
I found a good article that may offer some help.
