Thread OP

I bought a 3 gallon leyland cypress. Nursery told me to water it often after planting. I have been watering it twice a day and I'm not sure if that's too much. They also said it needs plenty of water because of the heat here in South Carolina. I've never planted anything and I have no idea what I should do..lol

Welcome! to NGA

How long ago did you plant it? Was it rootbound? Where do you live? What kind of soil?

Welcome! (South Carolina, Daisy). Twice a day does sound rather often for watering. Do you check the soil moisture a few inches down every so often? Leyland cypress is a big fast growing tree wth some issues so hopefully it isn't planted too near your house. These articles about it from Clemson may be of interest.
