Actually, most of what comes out of our garden and isn't eating right away ends up being frozen or canned. But I pretty much grew up on store-bought canned vegetables. When my family moved to south Florida, the garden didn't come with us. Vegetable gardening was no easy task there, especially since both of my parents worked outside the home. I pretty much hate store-bought canned vegetables and even the frozen stuff leaves a lot to be desired.

I've been an off and on gardener, depending on where I was living, from around the same time. Sometimes a small patch, 12' by 12' or so, and sometimes a lot bigger. With a variety of different vegetables.
