I was gifted with a couple of gorgeous hanging baskets designed for coir, and having none on hand was looking at the web for where, now at Labor Day weekend, I was going to be able to find them. Most of the local stores are already totally Back to School closeouts, and Halloween with a touch of Christmas - the garden areas are getting shut down even though it's still almost 90 out (Florida).
This was timely and perfect, as while I like the look of coir initially, it doesn't wear well and I was concerned about plants drying out in the heat. This solves my dilemma perfectly, as I have several rolls of the garden cloth in the shed.
PS, I put down sheets of heavy cardboard under my garden cloth before adding the mulch and it works pretty well at weed prevention.
