This is the most I have lined out in one year for possible introduction in the future. All have good scapes and decent blooms.

Some of these will not make the cut, but if I get
three or four I will be happy.

There is one more. I had stopped doing small
flowers several years ago but this showed up
in the seedlings in 2010. Its 3.50" and one of
the best scapes I have seen here, 4-5 way
branching with lots of buds.

I agree Fred. I really love the tropicana looking one --- fantastic. Appeals to my soul.

They are all winners to me. I really like the 1,6,7, and really would like to grow any of them. WOW! How do you choose? I find myself liking the little ones, too. It seems that the smaller the bloom, the more buds. They really make up for size in quantity.

Thanks for sharing your babies with all of us and blessings to all, Mona

See Fred; everybody likes the Tropicana (that's what I call it). That ought to tell you something.

Fred, I'm going to ask a question and hope it doesn't sound as dumb to you as it does to me. I know that "line them out" means to plant them in your garden, but is that all there is to it? Mona

First of all Mona there is no such thing as a dumb question here. There is a lot more to lining out than just dividing and planting. The first thing I start looking for after planting is Crown Rot, if a daylily can't be divided and replanted without dying it want be registered, Tets are a lot worse then dips when it comes to rot. If they make it to bloom season they must have a decent scape and bud count and must increase during the bloom season. I have to measure several blooms during this time to get an average size, and also take photos, try to decide what color it is,this has to go on the registration form. After bloom season I have to count the bud scars on several scapes to get and average bud count for registration. There is a lot more to lining out than just putting them in the ground, kind of like having a hog farm, always something to do.

So far all are doing well.

Fred, you have some really nice ones. The Lillian's Alabama Sunrise x seedling is really special. You also have some nice patterns out of Butterfly Cove, plus the Martin Blondeel seedling is super gorgeous. I hope you get some good ones to register.

I will be takeing the day off. I am headed to the hospital for the birth of a new grandson, this is only the second grandson and it has been 18 years since the last one. Have about 20 granddaughters but the grandsons are in short supply, this will be our last grand child, all the kids have now been fixed. Will have to start spoiling the great grand kids, we have a bunch of them also.
