Can we trim our austrees in a wind break that are very tall back to 1/4 there hight?

I wasn't sure what an Austree was so I did a little searching and found it's a hybrid Willow, a cross between Chinese Willow (Salix babylonica var. matsudana) and White Willow (Salix alba)
