Profile badges are now available for all states in the Mid-Atlantic Region. As with the other badges, you need 5 acorns to purchase a badge.

Delware, Maryland and West Virginia were added today, 06-Sep-2016
Thumb of 2016-09-06/RickM/d2311a

The Delaware badge is the state outline with the Tiger Swallowtail butterfly, which is the state butterfly.

The Maryland badge is the outline of the Maryland Blue Crab filled in with the Maryland state flag. The flower in the left claw is the Black Eyed Susan, Maryland's state flower.

For West Virginia, the "Flying WV" is the most widely used logo in West Virginia University athletics.

Interesting crab - what is the significance of the markings? I like regional badges that have a bit of history to them, more interesting to me than a flag or outline of state.

These are really great, Rick--very creative and appealing! I love the MD crab and black-eyed Susan. The DE one is beautiful with the Tiger Swallowtail, and I just learned something about West Virginia logos! Smiling

Nice job RickM. A few years ago Ric and I asked for a PA badge and had input in the design. We told them about being the Keystone State and found a good pic of the symbol for them to use and add info on the State color Blue and Yellow. We were very pleased with the finished design they came up for us.
