If this is from a tree, it looks like the leaf of the tulip tree (aka American tulip tree, tulip poplar, whitewood, fiddle-tree, and yellow poplar), Liriodendron tulipifera.

I agree, that leaf does resemble those of Tulip Tree (Liriodendron tulipifera)
