I am rather in favor of the idea of separate plant specific forums. I know we have quite a number of members who are interested in morning glories, and I am fond of them, too. I also think it might be a nice idea, when a new forum is created, to perhaps announce the new forums on the home page, so interested members would be aware of new forums. Not everyone monitors the Site Talk forum. Smiling

Good idea, Woofie. Out of curiosity, I looked at the list of plant-specific forums and was surprised at how many we have.

I would like a genus-specific forum like "Ipomoea." And have threads created throughout relative to the 500 hundred different species within. This genus is a large and diverse group with common names including morning glory, water convolvulus or kangkung, sweet potato, bindweed, moonflower, etc.

Does the new forum have a moderator who could move some of the morning glory related threads to it?

People try to turn back their "odometers." Not me. I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved
