I would like to give some acorns to a new member, but this no longer seems to be possible - am I wrong?

when I click on either the acorn symbol or the member's name the 'how many acorns would you like to give' pops right up.....

I think the problem may be that she hasn't posted anything yet.
She (Kat Zalewska) is a hybridiser of beautiful irises and I uploaded some of her photos (she hadn't joined NGA at that point). Then someone sent me an acorn, even though I indicated with each photo that the photos were not mine but by Kat. So I decided to send Kat some acorns (she had joined by this time), the extras to welcome her to NGA and so she could buy her first badge.
So I guess what I'd like to know is how (and indeed if) I can send acorns to someone who has not yet made any posts. I tried to do it by treemail but couldn't see how. (Kat's a little shy because she fears her English isn't good enough, plus her computer is away being repaired).

Mika, I think if you go to your tree-mail communication with her and click on her avatar or user name it will bring you to her profile. Then you could click on give.... acorn.

Edited to say: I just sent you an acorn, Mika, through the above system. You deserve it for being so kind and generous to your friend, Kat.
