My next door neighbors are having solar panels installed on their roof and they were telling me about an electronic gadget the installers have that can predict how much sun will be available in an area any hour of the day and any day of the year.

I should think this would be an invaluable tool for anyone in the landscape trade. Has anyone heard of such an instrument being used in the garden?

That's a great idea and such an innovative little tool!
