Jay - just saw this one and LOVE the color on it! I assume it is not a perennial in zone 5b?

I was blessed with a couple hibiscus seedlings and 3 didn't survive the mailing, but one is still alive. I have it potted and, even though it still has 3 small green leaves, it doesn't seem to be growing at all. It was suggested I put the whole pot in the ground to winter over, but I live in zone 5b and it can get pretty harsh. Can I just keep it in my kitchen window like an indoor plant over the winter to give it some time to grow? I have never tried to grow seedlings or seeds before so sorry if this is a dumb question D'Oh! D'Oh! Also got some seeds and those are the ones I hope to remember to wintersow and see what happens. Should I save some of those and just start them in the Spring? Like I said - totally new to me Whistling Whistling

Gorgeous Jay Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! My DD asked what to do to bring her potted one in for the winter and I didn't have a clue - had to google it. She doesn't have a lot of light in the house and little room, but I think she's going to try.

Lovely last of the season blooms, Jay! Ginny, I've brought in hibiscus over the years. My main advice is to either re-pot or make very sure the plant and pot isn't infested with anything. I've ended up bringing in all sorts of things...snakes, lizards, roaches, whiteflies and aphids. Give it the best light you can. Mine didn't do much with just window light. They did much better when I got an LED plant light.
