Sorry, I overlooked those water globes. They provide a constant slow steady drip of water into the soil. They are not very precise and tend to overwater plants that need to dry out some. They can be useful for plants that have to be left unattended for a longer period of time. Otherwise, they are best used only with plants that need to stay in constantly damp soil.

They are pretty, and they helped me grow one plant. I planted a Salvia greggii, and it was off to a slow start due to our hot, dry weather. We had to go away for 2 weeks so I used them to help keep it watered. They worked very well.
