Hi @dave,

Getting a glitch with the threads automatically jumping to the first unread post. Looks like an issue with the floating top menu bar - it covers the top part of the first post:

Thumb of 2016-09-30/Australis/a749bb

I'm using Firefox 49 on Windows 10.

This has been reported by a few people. It's something that I'm going to try to figure out. It's difficult because for most people it's working right, and I'm not sure why it would be broken for a handful of people.

Thanks Dave. I know these types of problems can be tricky, especially when trying to support multiple platforms.

Perhaps the platform (i.e. OS + browser) or something in the users' settings (perhaps the banner display - I have it set to show site-wide) is the common factor.

Same for me...I use chrome on a laptop

Happening to me, too; I'm on Windows 10 with Chrome and thought maybe it was my Chrome "bookmarks bar" taking up too much room on the top or something, but hiding it didn't help.

It happens to me also. I use a Macbook Pro and logged in with all three of the following and have the same issue with all. New posts show the avatar photo and date; have to scroll back up to see the username.

Firefox 48.0.2
Google Chrome 49.0.2623.112 (64-bit)
Safari 5.1.10 (6534.59.10)

Firefox and Chrome are the two I use all the time. I haven't used Safari in a long while ... don't even know why it's still on my laptop. Green Grin!

It also occurred to me that I had changed the screen resolution from the "recommended" one on my laptop and that that might be causing the problem -- but changing it back didn't do anything as far as this issue goes.

This seems to have been resolved -- at least on my computer. Hope everyone else is seeing the same thing?
