@dave the first image here is the one I couldn't view all of although it seems better now. But still can't move the image, the page behind it moves instead.

The thread "Help ID a plant" in Plant ID forum

Although I should add that I've found this with all the images I've looked at so far in the Plant ID forum

Thanks, I'll get out the ipad and go into the plant id thread and see if I can experience this for myself.

I checked the pictures in the Our Orchid blooms in October 2016 at the Orchid forum, which I started the new month with.

No, sorry!
Just opening these casually is a no go. They have to be moved upward first.

beckygardener said:@dave - I use both a computer and an iPad. On the iPad, when I click on a photo and want to move ( with my finger - touch screen) the photo up or down to see all of it, only the posts BEHIND the photo move. I am unable to move the photo at all.

This is happening to me too. I also have an I pad. If I close the photo and then re-open it again it will work to move with my finger.

I'm trying on an iPod, which is basically an iPhone without a phone, and it's doing the same thing as the iPad.

I wonder what the statistics are regarding the use of mobile devices versus computer with mouse? If I count as someone following a trend, I did not replace my MacBookPro when the screen turned black. I am perfectly happy using my IPad. However I can imagine people with "Fat-Finger" problems are not going to switch. (Husband is much happier on an IMac) But how about young people? A two year old uses an IPad with ease, I could imagine the trend is towards smart phones and tablets.

I still have the issue on my iPad with the photos,

When I click to enlarge an image, if it's a large image, only part shows. When I try to scroll the image, the background moves instead.

I use an iPad mini that is updated to the latest OS and I use Safari on it.

The image issue does not happen on the Mac laptop

My research this morning revealed that this is happening because of a bug in the Apple system. I'm continuing to find if there is a workaround.

Oh, that's not a good sign for those of us who use iPads and are experiencing this issue.

Thanks for trying to resolve this!

I don't seem to be having the problem on my iPad Air any more.
