If I 'star' a post in a forum how do I get back to just that one post without having to scroll through all of them in that forum?

You can view your starred pages by going to your profile page (click on the blue person in the menu bar) move down and find #starred pages you have.
Also create a shortcut through that by creating a link -- copy the URL and then go to manage your links in the preferences area of your profile.

I just looked at my starred pages, via my profile. It looks like we can edit and make a note about what each one is about. If we did that as we starred them, it would make it easy. I have starred a lot of recipes, so I could just note down which recipe it is. I don't know if there is any other way to do it. Most things on websites have multiple ways to "skin a cat".

Use a consistent title to sort them more easily.

Also on the creating links portion of the answer above I found Trish's original explanation, which has changed a bit since original post but should still work

" The links he's talking about are custom links he added to his ATP menubar in the top-left of the site. To add some of your own, click on your preferences area (go to your profile by clicking on the person icon in the menu area, then click on preferences) and you'll see the place to add custom links."

I periodically browse through my list of Stared Pages and add comments to the new ones.

I agree with Karen and Marilyn. When adding a note or comment, make the first word of the comment something that defines a category, like "recipes" or "tomato" or "daylily".

Since the list of starred pages is alphabetized BY THE COMMENT, the first word of the comment acts like a "chapter heading" and keeps related starred pages together.
