so trish are you asking for things that should go into a 'all things plants for dummies' kind of thread? I can think of some but they seem so basic now Rolling on the floor laughing

DG was my very first experience with online forums etc so I was REALLY lost. Things like how to quote a post, how to upload a photo, and how to cut copy and paste were all foreign to me back then Whistling

Trish,
The setup by Kathy of the Orchid forum on Cubits was absolute perfection!
It had EVERYTHING and IMHO should be used as a model for all forums on ATP.
It had it all, in that it built community by being personal (ie: interviews, polls, sharing members passions in the gardening realm, etc). Those things need to be kept forum specific.
Each ATP specialty plant forum could benefit greatly by having this functionality.
If it is all segregated ,you lose the sense of community so important among the separate plant type enthusiasts.
Thanks, Trish! Smiling

Janice-

We have a lot of fun ideas that we can't wait to implement. We've been planning and creating in our heads for months.

As good as Dave is, even he isn't fast enough to implement so many ideas all at once Big Grin

But they will come, and I think you will be very pleased!

Ever wonder how many members/articles/posts we have? Click on the "Memberlist" at the bottom of every page to find out.

Different ways of searching:
sitewide at the top of every page
forum search- at the top of the forum
clicking on a username allows you to view all of the posts made by that person

I'd need more coffee and sleep to come up with more off the top of my head. Hilarious!
