Name: Daisy I Reno, Nv (Zone 6b) Not all who wander are lost
Post a photo of the flower when it opens. And another of the entire plant.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost

Jim, here's an interesting tidbit:
'In an outdoor emergency, the soft leaves can be used as a substitute for toilet paper'.
From my comments on velvet leaf in the DB.
That was my description of the bud , The plant has not bloomed it still looks the same
If I had to describe the blooms in the photo links ,Simple marigold or a leaf covered Coreopsis is how they look to me
In the Butterfly garden if a plant is not chewed up I feel like a failure
