I posted a picture in the Plants Database a few weeks or so ago. It just occurred to me that I might want to add a comment about that picture. But I don't want to repeat information that someone else has already put in their comment section. Doesn't seem necessary. Is there a way, especially an easy way, to see if someone else with a similar picture has already talked about the relevant details in the comment section of their picture?

For example, I have a picture of some seeds of Tropical Milkweed (Asclepias curassavica), as do others. I was thinking about going back to comment on gathering the seeds. Do I need to look at each one to see if someone has already commented on their photo or is there another way to find out? Like maybe an icon that I'm not seeing. Or whatever.

Rather than adding a comment to your image, add it to the entry itself so everyone can see it. The comments added to the photos really should just be something brief in regards to that particular photo and, as you noticed, are not visible unless the image is enlarged.

I agree comments like that should be entered into the main entry for that plant. Comments attached to photos should be specifically related to that photo.

Thanks to you both, @Calif_Sue and @Horntoad. Haven't done it yet but if I can't find the right place to add a comment, I'll be coming back to ask. Grins.

I need to get in the habit of remembering that it's right there on the side so I don't have to scroll. Smiling
