To make it easier on my iPod and Android phone I had set up my home page to show the forums at the top, one column. I'm sure when I set this up it was called Forums List and showed the 99, now 100, forums list (the non-alphabetical one). When I went back just now to work on the home page a bit more and remove what I don't need I notice the title in the top box has changed to "Watched Forums" but it is still showing the 100 forums list in that location. I'm not "watching" any forums (at least not on purpose). Did I do something wrong? I was going to "watch" the ones I look at most so that they came to the top of the home page so that I don't have to go through the 100 to find them. I usually go straight to the forums list (the alphabetical one) but when I'm on my phone or iPod now I can't get it in list form unless I go to the home page.

Sue -- maybe you already know this... but in case you don't, under "site preferences" in your profile there's a box you can check so that you are automatically watching any thread that you reply to (and another to check to "watch" any thread that you start). Smiling

Thanks, Sandy. Yes I have it set to watch threads I start, I probably did that when I first signed on because I really don't use it so I may as well change the setting. What I want to do is select some forums to "watch" and have them at the top on my home page. On the dashboard it now says "watched forums" where I had put the forums list in my first home page incarnation, but what I'm getting is still the 100 forums and forums list doesn't seem to be an option any more. Am I still getting the 100 forums where I have "watched forums" because I don't actually have any watched forums yet?

Yes Smiling

Once you have some "watched forums," they will be listed under a header that says something like "you are watching 2 of our 100 forums." (and you can click on the "100 forums" - which is underlined - and it will give you the alphabetized and categorized list of all the forums.)

And, I just realized I was confusing your original question, thinking you were talking about watched threads... *Blush* Sighing!

I don't use the watch option for forums, so my home page has the list of 100 forums showing without alphabetical order. I tried the watch option today for one forum. What it did on the home page was replace the 100 forum list with the one watched forum. It displayed an option to see the other forums, but when I did that they showed up in the groupings - e.g. forums for plants, forums by region etc. That's not how I used NGA, so I un-watched the forum and went back to having the forum list with recent postings dictating the order. If my watched forum had simply floated to the top like the 'sticky' posts in some forums, I'd have like that and left it. As it is, I'll just continue scrolling and selecting forums to peruse.
