Cool wet fall mornings I tend to stay in the house longer. Been doing a lot of looking and reading here. I sell cut flower bouquets at a farmer's market and am interested in adding new and different varieties for cutting.

So which companies have you had good success? I read here in one thread where a Canadian company stands behind any mislabeling or wrong bulbs shipped, I think it said the Lily Nook. I don't know if that means they will ship the correct one or what. I quickly browsed their site and would love to add a couple of theirs, but didn't see any place where they specifically said they shipped to US.

Which companies would you not recommend? (I wanted the lily Bonbini and found a company called Direct Gardening. I'm not used to paying $6 and $7 for an Asiatic lily bulb . . . but. But because of the pricing at Direct Gardening, I tried to check out any ratings. Their ratings are bad, so I didn't order from them.)

Also, does anyone here sell any of their lily bulbs?

I did order from
B&D Lilies http://www.bdlilies.com/
The Lily Garden http://www.thelilygarden.com/
Brent & Becky's Bulbs https://www.brentandbeckysbulb...

Thanks.

my favorite place is B&D Lilies. Priced on the high side but they send HUGE bulbs. The Lily Garden is also good. Since I do not grow Asiatics, I can't give you a recommendation on those. I've ordered from VanEngelen.Inc and John Scheepers (both the same company), orders were accurate, but I felt the bulbs were on the small side. Prices were good.

I ordered this year from the lily Garden and Brent and Beckys. Both had great looking bulbs. I'll see what comes up next year. I have ordered from John Scheepers in the past and had good luck with alliums but haven't ordered lilies there.

@TsFlowers ... Good call on Direct Gardening. I get inundated with catalogs from all kinds of nurseries every spring. In many cases, while the name on the catalog is one thing they all are from 'Direct Gardening'. I pretty much look through to see if there's anything I'm interested in and then toss the catalog. If I do find something I like, I go to a more reputable company. Direct Gardening is a scam artist.

I like the Lily Garden, have always had great luck with their bulbs, customer service is great.
Also enjoy and order from Colorblends, again great customer service and bulbs.

I always say 'a good lily is where you find it'. And what a fun place Faraway Flowers is to look throughout the year. Everyday is a new experience, not just for lilies, but so much more. Just visiting the site gives me that 'happy feelin'. Thumbs up

I will say that the places that get me excited with things that are different from the big box stores, and where I am likely to receive what I purchased, will always get me vote. Being into lilies for many years now, yes, I think they are all lovely (well, most of them) but getting the correct bulb matters.

Thank you all for posting! I checked back for a day or two and got bummed Sad thinking no one was going to respond. Not only thankful for what each person has posted, but I also got to see a little how the new site changes work. I don't want to get off the subject, but I got to see my red bell lit up, and that was fun. I think that was because someone had called to my attention with @ . And I learned that under the blue person icon that this message had been replied to by a "Yes" in the column. This was the first time I was able to experience those things. Smiling Thanks again.

Back on track, I don't think I've heard of Colorblends. I will have to look them up.
