I've no idea what variety it is. I bought them as small divisions this spring at a yard/garden sale. Ofcourse the seller didn't say anything, doubt whether he knows what it is too...

It's difficult to see, but there are numerous small, light green streaks in between the primary leaf veins.

I can see what you are referring to, I've seen it in several juvenile hostas, aft a few years it goes away. Not saying it's not the disease, but the only way you could tell def is to have it tested...prob not worth it.
If it were me, I would let it go a season, and only use a sterilized pruners
