I met this impressive big plant on a wild beach by the sea in a rainforest area in Paraty, Brazil..
Could it be a Bromelia?

Lol, I only came onto the scene here late Karen so I missed Myriam's earlier posts! I was too busy taking photos etc. but the weather is not so good now and I have more time.
