Thank you Paul for the article. I am fairly new to Hostas, just last year I started a hosta garden and planted them all around the house. It was love at first sight, I bought around 95 hostas last year and obviously this could become a nightmare for me. What kind of preventative maintenance can I do to keep these bugs away or at least a lot of them. I have heard mention of seven dust. Only problem I've had this past year was slugs and a rabbit.( I think) Blinking I have slug bait and blood meal.
