I have eight of these plants left and need to sell them all. These are mature, 3-4' tall plants and are fully rooted in 1 gal. pots. These are less than wholesale-priced at 3 for $8, 6 for $12, or all 8 for $16, plus shipping. They will be cut back (they are nearing dormancy) and shipped semi bare-root (fully bare-root if going to CA) to reduce the shipping weight. Each rhizome will typically have a plant or two growing from it, but in the spring, each rhizome will produce several additional plants. At this low price per plant/rhizome, a minimum order is for three rhizomes/plants.

Daniel, shipping for the three would run you $8.95, six @ $10.95 (they are heavy plants with large root-balls, even when cut back).

@DrDawg - Ken

I think I would like one. How much to mail to 64505? How much more to ship 2 bulbs? I probably only need one, heh.

Just another addition to my collection. Should these be stored over winter and replanted late winter?

David, the Shampoo Ginger is more cold sensitive than its cousin, the White Butterfly Ginger. I do nothing to overwinter the Butterflies but heavily mulch the Shampoos (with 4-6" of oak leaves). In your climate, if they are not in a very protected area and heavily mulched, I would overwinter them inside.

I am sending you a T-Mail, David.

Will this ginger survive indoors? Nighttime temperature in the house will be about 64° with daytime about 70°.

Gerry, I am sure the plants will grow in the house over the fall/winter months, but that is just an educated guess. I brought a bunch of mine into one of the greenhouses last fall and they overwintered there. Of course they got bright light. I keep the temperature at or above 55 F in my greenhouses. I did reduce watering somewhat because they grew more slowly, but they did fine. These are outdoor plants though and to grow their "cones", they need to be outside in the spring/summer months.
