In 2014 there was a note on these in this forum.
I am wondering if anyone has grown them?
They are a cross between Kale and Brussel Sprouts, but are they a hybrid or are they a stabilized cross?
In the data base they are said to be self fertile?
Tozer in UK, and Johnny's seem to be the only seed sources.

They are F1 hybrids. Originally released as Flower Sprouts. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/foo...

Those look pretty interesting... might have to think about trying them next year!

Yes they should be worth a try.
I just wish the seeds weren't so expensive, but alas---all seeds seem to be getting expensive unless you save your own.
But since it is an F1 hybrid, saving seeds is not good idea.
But might be fun to see what grows!

I came upon these at our test garden; seeds are from johnny's select.

We looked underneath all the beautiful purple leaves and saw small sprouts not yet ready for harvest. I'm anxious to try them; my DH likes brussel sprouts so I'll test them on him.

Has anyone tried these?

Which one is that?
They seem to have several different ones?

I have sown the Kaleidoscope one, but it will be awhile here.

I can say, I harvested buds from my regular kale that is bolting, and they were delicious. Kalettes sound good.
Plant it and they will come.
